I almost forgot how well we were eating in 2017.
Went to sleep in the year of Kerber and woke up in the year of Vee in AO and Wimbledon finals as well as a US open semifinal.

It was both exciting and disappointing TBH because Vee never recovered from losing a tight first set to Mug at Wimbledon.
Then the close semi loss to Sloane at the USO followed. If she had gotten into that final vs Keys, good things may have happened.

But it was fun ... I'll never forget Vee's joyful reaction to beating Vandeweghe and making the AO final.
A few more of those moments would be nice!

Cmon Vee! Show little sister (aka Cinnabon) what she’s missing out there! I’m so proud of Vee for dedicating her life to her sport/passion and for never giving up against ALL the diversity she’s faced. She is a true hero and like Serena always says, she would be NOTHING without big sis paving the way.

This is an immaculate cheering thread! :inlove: What a beautiful journey we have all been on with her through all these phases. Literally dozens of moments. We are so lucky!

But like Venus said after crucifying Kota in the 2017 semifinal: “I will ask for one more.”

I am conjuring a 2019 USO SaiSai type skulldragging. I want to see Elaine’s serve getting pummeled, and I want to see Gael crying from the stands.:armed: And I love that we have another Veeliever in the stands to carry our well wishes to her! Bring it home @Cedvin :cheer:

I really want Venus to finally claim that Mixed Doubles title at Wimbledon she has been close on several occasions and she wants that Wimbledon title badly as it will complete her set of titles at Wimbledon.

1998 - Semi-Final
1999 - Quarter-Final
2005 - 3rd Round
2006 - Runner Up
2019 - 2nd Round
2021 - 2nd Round
2022 - 2nd Round (5 times her and Jamie were 1 point away from the Quarter-Finals lost 5 Match Points)

I also want Venus to win the US Open Mixed Doubles title as well.
