Kamila Valieva beats Alysa Liu once again in a H2H showdown. Though tbh, it's understandable because Kamila does everything better, performance wise and jumping quality. Liu has the 4Lz and the 3A but they aren't very good in terms of landings and rotations (most of the time).
I love Kamila's spins, just absolutely sublime. Plus she's not as robotic/mechanical as some other Eteri skaters. Though the GOEs and PCS she's getting now, the judges are gearing her up for 2022 OG Gold. She's my 2nd favourite Eteri skater behind Aliona though so I'm not complaining exactly if that was the case.
If only Kamila was coached by someone better than Eteri though, lol.
Usacheva though, lol. That PCS is... no words. Legit Eteri bonus here. Just no @ her outscoring Alysa who had 2 3Lz combos and 2 3As -- which were very good today. (even though Alysa had a fall on 4Lz, but still).
My favourite skater from the WJC is actually Haein Lee. Just glorious, shame she fell on her 3F today otherwise she had a legit shot at the podium. And no way her PCS should be that low, she should be at least on par with Valieva because she was clearly the best of the field. I guess she'd get the numbers she deserves if she was coached by Eteri, but alas. I really liked Seoyeong Wi too, and Ekaterina Kurakova.

There's talk that Worlds may be cancelled pending decisions from the authorities in Montreal. They're having a meeting this morning to discuss possible options moving forward with regard to major sporting events in the city/region.
