Washington List in post #8.

Earlier someone said Mattek-Sands was going to partner Zhang Shuai in San Jose but now with Peng Shuai in the acceptance list.

Incidentally, Peng Shuai + Zhang Shuai (present combined 131) have entered doubles in Toronto ('18 Montreal init. adv cutoff 106) and Cincinnati ('18 init. adv cutoff 106).

Zhang/Peng preparing for Tokyo I guess... weird that Zhang and Stosur are not playing together those 2 big events tho, at least Toronto... guess they will be back together for the US Open

You can't prepare anything if you can't get into the draw.

The only 10 teams who entered the list made the MD. Washington could not even find 10 teams and the entry list closed with 9 teams :spit:

The small events and big events have too drastic difference of prize money given that no one cares these days :eek:h:

$12,300 for International Winners
~$49K for Premier Winners
~$148K for Premier 5 Winners

Going to San Jose and wish doubles field was stronger. Chan was there last year and won it with Peschke. If you win one year, why not go back the next. Normally in the trophy acceptance speech, player says I'll be back next year. Wonder if she did and didn't keep her word.
