Due to injury Wang Qiang is replaced by Yang ZhaoXuan.

There are five players each in team lists of China, Kazakhstan, India and Thailand.

Are the lists not yet final?

Teams were expanded to five players this year.

5. TEAM NOMINATIONS
Each competing Nation must, no less than twenty-eight (28) days before the Monday of the week fixed for the commencement of the event, nominate in order of merit to the Fed Cup Executive Director a team consisting of either:
i) 3 players including a playing Captain, or
ii) 3 players plus a playing or non-playing Captain, or
iii) 4 players plus a non-playing Captain.
Two (2) nominations may be changed up until one hour before the Captains’ Meeting to be held on the day prior to the start of the Competition. ...

She wants to focus on WTA events
Huge setback for Thai Fed Cup team

Good on her I guess as she has previously missed out a lot when she's focused on playing for her country.

It will be tough for Thailand to avoid relegation though.
Thanks for sharing.

Yep the infamous US OPEN incident.

The article is early and so far she’s 0/3. She’s mentally quite weak. Hope she recovers ... shocked she’s not in any of the Middle East tournaments .... it’s nearer and she has a week to travel to Indian Wells.

I thought she’s NOT PLAYING cos she needs to be in Doha or Dubai but it’s not. So kinda curious choice since she won’t get match practice and goes straight to Indian Wells.

Will lack of matches but only drills / own training help in match wins ?
