In addition to Puerto Rico, Venezuela also withdrew, saying it did not have the "necessary resources" to participate.
It seems that Venezuela will send a team probably get some money from another federation to send the players and a coach.

Format

Round-robin basis. One pool of three teams (Pool A) and one Pool of four teams (Pool B).

The winners of each pool will play-off against each other to determine which nation will advance to the World Group II play-offs in April 2018.

In the relegation play-offs, the teams that finish third in each pool will play-off against each other to determine which nation will be relegated to Americas Zone Group II in 2019. The nation finishing fourth in Pool B will be automatically relegated.

One promoted.
Two relegated.

Paraguay should win group A

Argentina or Brazil should win group B

How is Guatemala so high ? :spit:
Guatemala will finish last in their group for sure

Colombia vs Venezuela should be the relegation play-off

Guatemala and Venezuela relegated, Colombia didn't even have to play relegation matches, that's a good result for them beind second in their group.

Now it between Brazil and Paraguay to accompany Japan, Latvia and UK into World Group II Play-Offs. Paraguay wo nthe first match now it is a close match betwee Haddad Maia and Cepede Royg.
