No Vika

It seems silly to ask for a WC everywhere when she can get in with her PR

Any news on the other WCs? I hope Bianca is given an MDWC this time around. I love Aleks Wozniak but her form just doesn't guarantee an MD wildcard where as Bianca is rapidly climbing the rankings.

There is only 1 WC left for Andreescu/Abanda/Wozniak. My guess is Abanda will get it unless Andreescu does something special at Wimbledon.

Ugh if only Genie could hold a decent ranking...
I'd also say that Abanda will get the MDWC in that case. I thought there were 2 remaining rather than 1

If everyone shows up (unlikely!) qualifying is packed!

Abanda and Andreescu both deserved the WC. Arguably more tha you-know-who and you-know-who-#2 who should both be in by themselves by now. At least they managed to get one for Andreescu in Washington.

Abanda probably won it because of her Wimbledon r1, Fed Cup and the fact she won her r1 last year.

Bianca Andreescu (Mississauga, ON)
Gabriela Dabrowski (Ottawa),
Katherine Sebov (Toronto),
and Aleksandra Wozniak (Blainville, QC)

Wild Cards announced for 2017 Rogers Cup

"Qualifying wild cards have also been determined in both cities. In Montreal, ...

In Toronto, wild cards were given to Bianca Andreescu (Mississauga, ON), Gabriela Dabrowski (Ottawa), Katherine Sebov (Toronto), and Aleksandra Wozniak (Blainville, QC). The final wild card will be given to the winner of the pre-qualifying tournament taking place this week at Toronto’s Aviva Centre."

the shadeeeeeeeeee

But you're right. I'm sad Bianca won't have a chance to compete in MD directly without having to worry about qualies, especially after winning an MD match in Washington, qualifying for Wimbledon, and helping get our Fed Cup team back on track. All the at the age of 16 and without the help of continuous WCs

Maria might withdraw, is there any way the WC can be relocated to Bianca?
