Format

Round-robin basis.

One pool of 3 teams (Pool A) and three pools of 4 teams (Pools B, C & D).

The winners of each pool will play-off against another pool winner to determine which two nations are promoted to Americas Zone Group I in 2018.

The nation finishing fourth in Pool C will not compete in the positional play-off.

Two promoted.

Really weak :sad: Wouldn't be surprised if Puig singlehandedly carried PR to promotion :lol:

Only other team that is somewhat decent is Peru and Guatemala..

Also no Roemer for Ecuador :scratch: Also what happened to Segarelli :confused:

I sense that Roemer is reconsidering her commitment to competitive tennis. She hasn't played in a little while, and she keeps withdrawing from entry lists. And now no Fed Cup for her, even though she competed the last few years and was a valuable addition to her team :sad:

Wonder why these teams are withdrawing after they have selected a team. Must be quite disappointing for their players to have their hopes up and then it all gone.

Must also be something to do with lack of funds I'm guessing.

According to the scoreboard on the celebration photo I posted above it seems that Morales/Schippers (Guatemala) won the decisive doubles rubber against Botto/Iamachkine (Peru) with 6-2 7-5 ! :p

Yes, annoying the livescore stopped. Also no doubles score on the tie page :eek:
