Syma Event and Congress Centre, Budapest, Hungary

February 5-9

Countries:
1. Belgium
2. Great Britain
3. Ukraine
4. Belarus

5. Austria
6. Bulgaria
7. Croatia
8. Hungary

9. Portugal
10. Netherlands
11. Slovenia
12. Romania

13. Israel
14. Turkey
15. Luxembourg
16. Latvia

Given that it's on Indoor Hard, there is a chance Belarus will qualify without Azarenka and it would be nice if she played especially given there are potentially some strong opponents here :) Hopefully Live-Streaming :D

7. Croatia: Vekic, Martic, Mrdeza, Jurak
8. Hungary: Babos, Jani, Bukta, Czink

9. Portugal: Koehler, Larcher de Brito, Luz, Murta
10. Netherlands: Krajicek, Bertens, Rus, Hogenkamamp
11. Slovenia: Jakupovic, Kolar, Hercog, Klepac
12. Romania: Cirstea, Halep, Niculescu, Begu

13. Israel: Peer, Glushko, Shlomo, Lankri
14. Turkey: Buyukakcay, Ozgen, Eraydin, Soylu

I don't think it's possible
Did they get Bosnia + Herzegovina last time :eek:h:
The only lower ranked team they can get is Latvia and they actually are the most under-ranked European Team IMO :)

No way lucic plays. I'd assume Tomljanovic, Martic, Vekic and Konjuh for Croatia. Jurak as an alternate.
Ooh I forgot about Petra.
She would replace Lucic. I would of course say Vekic and Konjuh are the next best: they are obvious choices but we have seen their Indoor Hard/Carpet form recently so maybe Jurak as Doubles Specialist and Tereza are better bets? :(

Belgium has really strong team with Wicky, Flipkens, van Uytvanck and Mestach

Dutch team will be tough to compile if everyone is healthy and fit to play. Bollegraf will have to take previous performances into account as Rus and Krajicek have dropped down the rankings. I hope tha the team will be Bertens, Rus, Krajicek and de Vroome. But perhaps Misa and Indy will not be called upon as Hogenkamp and Kerkhove have higher rankings. Surface favours Misa over the others though

I think Misa and probably Kerkhove should be called as Indy has a less legitimate ranking IMO and the surface doesn't suit Richel :( Still, the Dutch really deserve to be in WGII

Great. This means Lux can reckon with 3 points in the matches! :cheer:
Don't be so sure, remember that EAI is very strong: Vekic, Tomljanovic, Flipkens, Van Uytvanck, Govortsova, Konjuh, Sasnovich etc. are all capable of beating her ;)
