Why so invested all of a sudden
I like Julia. ;)
Krista and her three-set record

:hysteric:

rooting for Lauren, hope she crowns her fantastic college career :worship:

Julia will have other opportunities :p
Very impressed that Elbaba beat Zoe!! I mean she's just a freshman.. wow. What about Julia's game that troubles her opponents?

do read my blog, although it's not much.

PEPP wins backdraw dbls 8-3, Khunpak Issara dominating the net spectacularly as usual.
Wow what was the score? And it sounded like elbaba was injured?
Great final, but Embree is so clutch! It's really starting to get ridiculous...4 straight games from 2-4 in the 3rd.

So another come from behind victory wow
waiting for iPatty to proclaim the end of college tennis :p
(we all know you hate Lauren's 'pushing')

USC WINS ANOTHER SLAM , BEATING DUKE IN 3, NOW ONLY NCAA LEFT

Lauren winning is just so...

Her game is extremely uninspiring.

you mean her MENTAL game?

best offensive player vs best defensive player, fitting final. Julia was jaw-dropping, scored countless winners, can't find particular weakness. Even moonballed well, a setup for her pouncing drives. But...DFed a lot and missed some crucial chances. Will write report on ma blog later, too tired now. Maybe tomorrow.
F (3) Lauren Embree d. Julia Elbaba 2-6; 6-3; 6-4

that's total 27 gms? Multiply by 3 and you get Julia's winner count, she scored 3 or more winners per game
Riviera/ITA All-American Championship

Quarterfinals: #7 Guillermo/Issara (PEP) def. #9 Stacey Tan/Ellen Tsay (Stanford) 8-2

@lembree888 congrats on a great win! Practice is at 2pm tomorrow

from UVA homepage;

'Elbaba won 10 matches at the event to reach the final, winning three in pre-qualifying, three in qualifying and now four in the main draw. She defeated three 2012 All-Americans at the event.

Prior to this event, no Cavalier had ever made the quarterfinals at one of the three major tournaments (ITA All-American, ITA Intercollegiate Indoors, NCAA Championships). '
