could these fit together?
Possibly Peter. I think they don't, because our only source (Alan Little) mentions the International event and provides dates. There is no source I know of for the club event.

Just in case I put the club event after the international.

It now reads as follow:

-----

March 11-14 Nice International, Nice, France (Clay)
Venue: Nice Lawn Tennis Club on the Place Mozart

MX: Won by Miss K Booth/Blacker-Douglas (handicap event)

-----

Date Unknown, Nice Lawn Tennis Club Championship

Won by Bernard

Could the two events above be one and the same? Probably not, as the event won by Bernard appears to a be a club championship. Alan Little in his book only refers to the Nice International.

FI: Amy Wilson d. May Brownrigg 6-2 7-5

CR: Edith Austin (holder) d. Amy Wilson 6-3 6-1

Brownrigg is the married name of May Arbuthnot.
ARBUTHNOT, MAY (Adolphine Mary Arbuthnot)
Great Britain
Born 12 January 1868
Died 18 December 1904
Married Charles Edward Brownrigg, 22 December 1897
Are these Beckenham results from a source written years later ? Or is the year of marriage wrong?

several results of Elsie this year (and next year) and none of Hilda clearly points to Elsie at Burton-on-Trent, too

Coincidentally at Burton-on-Trent next year the same players appear again, with Elsie.

FI: Toupie Lowther (GB) d. S. Pollen (GB) 6-2 6-1

This player's real first name was May. It is not known why she used the sobriquet "Toupie".
I think it shouldn't have been easy to attend both tournaments at that time.
