Today in the states, its a big deal that Clijsters is the first Belgian woman to reach #1 and congrats to her :bounce: BuT.........

it's called the Belgium Sisters Pattern ;)

Justine and Kim's professional careers are almost parallel. When one achieves something, usually the other ones follow suit in weeks or months. So believe me Justine will be #13 any time sooooon:) (I predict in Zurich or Linz this year). Come on JuJu fans, the count down for Justine to become the 13th woman to reach #1 begins!!!!!!!1 :bounce: :hearts:

Looking back at last year's results, its clear that Justine can make up ground on Kim during the last month of the season. Kim won a couple of titles last fall and Justine only had Linz. I bet that Justine will be the first Belgian to be year-end number one for the record books;)

since the new rankings system: year-end #1's:

1996 Steffi Graf GER
1997 Martina Hingis SUI
1998 Lindsay Davenport USA
1999 Martina Hingis SUI
2000 Martina Hingis SUI
2001 Lindsay Davenport USA:(
2002 Serena Williams USA
2003 Clijsters?? Henin-Hardenne?? S.Williams??

Allex Juju Baggins!:D

Yep, Kim and Justine are equal in the US Open this year, who ever does better, will get more ranking points;)

However, I just get this feeling that Justine will have the daunting task again to beat a Williams in the semis. I think Venus will be on Justine's side (Ofcourse it would make us comfortable if Davenport was instead;)). I really think Justine is ready now to face Venus and defeat her in the hard courts.

Also, I'm an American and i've watched the US Open many times and that if Justine faces Venus in the semis, Justine will get more crowd support. It's ashame, but true. The way they booed Venus last year on her home turf was ashame!

justine has a slew of tournaments she's going for, although not all confirmed, she is on the commitments list for a month in europe: leipzig(Germany), filderstadt(Germany), Zurich(Switzerland), Linz(Austria).

She hasn't pulled out of any of these events but I have a feeling SHE WILL go on a tear this fall. All she needs to do is defend Linz (which is highly probabable) and probably win Zurich because it is a Tier I and more points. It's inevitable that Justine will reach #1 before the end of the year, its just when, and that might be in October folks;) Clijsters has reached the mark of earning points and now she has to DEFEND now;)

Justine WILL BE #1 by the end of the year, quote me, that's how confident I am right now;)
