Welp. Not a fan but it's sad to see a player's career get completely wrecked by injury. It's going to be a looong road back even to the top-100.

CoCo got injured and could barely walk in the end. Until then - even with her current tragic shape - she was totally crushing this hopeless Anshba scrub, awful luck indeed.

Coco should retire or take 5 months off and just train on hard court and come back in August...take a bunch of WC's into Qualifying in San Jose/Cincy/USO and see what happens.

Losing to Anshba the Queen of Moonball is alarming.

Bad luck for CoCo.
It must be a very bitter pill to swallow for a former top 10 WTA player to be in the Qualies for an ITF event.
But, credit to her for trying.
Konjuh on a similar comeback from injuries, won her 1st round match in the W25 in Prague...6-0, 6-0.
Both CoCo and Ana are ranked outside the top 200.

Sad to see Coco struggling so much - if she keeps at it I鈥檓 sure the results will eventually come. She needs to play more though, and even drop down to 50K and 25K if she needs to, in order to win matches.

Sad to see indeed. Even though I didn't like neither her personality nor her game I kinda miss disliking her, if that makes sense. Maybe she should try the doubles specialist route given how injury prone her body turned out to be.

Winning Indian Wells, Stanford, Miami and the US Open would indicate that she has the quality, but her body would still have to be good enough. She also hasn't really played enough, especially recently. This year she's had just one quarter-final (Guadalajara) and first round losses in Miami and Charleston.
