WCTT: US Open

Welcome to "The US Open" the home of the seasons Final Grand Slam we have a jam-packed field of prospects and its shaping up to be one of the best Slams on record.

World #1 Mary Pierce the owner of the Australian Open, French Open & Wimbledon is here looking for "THE GRAND SLAM" she has not been playing good at all this last few weeks but she knows how to bring it when the Slams are up.

World #2 Na Li who is shaping up to be the best this game has to offer she has 3 titles and has been runner-up at the Australian Open & Wimbledon to Mary so she knows how to play in the Slams will this be her week to win one she is only 5 Ranking points behind Mary so it shows how well she can perform outside of the slams.

World #3 Venus Williams this seasons most consistent performer never falls early and almost always makes the semi-finals she will be looking forward to some better success in the slams she has made the semis of the French Open & Wimbledon but will be looking further down the field if she is any chance at passing her higher ranked opponents.

World #4 Ana Ivanovic has not been playing anywhere near her ranking lately she has been falling early and no player finds her a threat anymore will this final slam give her success or have her passed by her colleagues.

Marie-Eve Pelletier who has finally won her first title of the year is coming in with massive confidence and hoping to do better than her best showing at a Slam where she made the final of the French Open will this win bring out her inner-domination or will she be a one-hit wonder only time will tell but she'd be a big outside bet.

Shahar Peer who has shown that American Hardcourts suit her game has been consistent with her results and has even won a title in Hollywood she has the game to beat the big players but does she have the nerves to grind out a Grand Slam title.

Elena Dementieva the surprise package lately she has taken out the big guns but has always fallen short of a title will the US Open bring her success or will her streak continue.

Na Li Hits Number 1

Due to her win today in the semi finals na li has taken her deserved place of number 1. The number 2 seed today in good fashion won her match. Na Li defeating Marie-Eve Pelletier 7-5 3-6 6-4. It took along time but its finally come her day of becoming the number 1 player. Being 1 of many who seems to change there game style often making players fall to her changes everyone knew it was only a matter of time.....
