Yeah difficult draw but Schiavone has never particularly done well on grass and I don't think the Italian's game adapts to the surface then she might play Kuzzie but the Russian lacks confidence with that RG title loss. I hope Sori can scrape some interesting wins here an there.
Very difficult draw
I was hoping she will play in Birmingham or UNICEF Open, Instead of Eastbourne.
I think those tournaments could be easier for her right now.. and better preparation for Wimbledon.
Let's hope that Schiavone's head still in Paris.
It's a must for each sub-forum. Here, you can post any videos of Sorana, or links to videos. Like this one against Kvitova at the 2008 Budapest WTA Tournament:
Sori just beat the 32nd seed in the AO R1, Barbora Strycova, 62 76(5). Admittedly Babs has not been in the best of form but still it's a decent start to the AO. Before that Sori played Hobart, she qualified by beating Aussie Gabriella da Silva Fick then Begu, then lost R1 to Wang Xiyu, 63 16 16...
Sorana-Mihaela starts the 2019 with a very solid straight-sets win over the polish #1 :cheer: :cheer:
She seemed to have put a lot of work in during the off-season so let's hope it pays off and she'll have a really good year :armed:
