She seems at least as promising as Selin! She's around 6 months younger than her (born March 11, 2004) and is 31-4 so far this year... :worship:

She's won 4 singles titles so far this year: the first edition of the U14 ITF/Tennis Europe Development Championships, without dropping a set, thrashing the top and 3rd seeds on her way to the title in March (she then was runner-up of the second edition the week after); a Cat. 3 G14 in Istanbul in June, without dropping a set either (and she made the semis of the Cat. 3 G16 there the week after, got routined 4 & 3 by Selin in SF :awww:); and these last 2 weeks, she's swept the 2 G5s in Jordan (didn't drop a set in the first one but Selin, who she was supposed to face in the final, had to retire with a shoulder injury at 2-3 in the first set... too bad, as it would have been a super interesting match!; in the one she upset the top 2 seeds, which are ranked around #500 and #400 ), her very first G18 titles! :D :clap2:

Her title last week has made her jump up to a new CHR of 864 (+482) this week, and she will make another big jump in next week's new rankings :bounce:

Looking forward to seeing how she does in the stronger U14 tournaments now, and also how the rivalry against Selin evolves! GL! :cheer:

Ozlem was back to vulturing Middle Eastern tournies this week, played G5 Iran Junior Championship in Urmia (the city of my ancestors :speakles: :inlove:)

She was the top seed there, sadly lost in SF to fellow Turk 4th seed Doga Turkmen, 1-6 5-7 :(

Turkmen will turn 15 in a month, she won the title, straight-setting the 2nd seed in the final. ;)

Ozlem reached a CHR of 607 2 weeks ago, should break into the Top 600 after USO :bigclap:

Solid stuff! :worship: Looks like Turkey has sth to look forward to with a bunch of promising teenagers, which is exciting stuff. :)

Facing USA, who have won their first 2 ties like them (and 6-0 in matches so far), tomorrow to make the SFs, GL! :armed: :cheer::cheer::cheer:

Day 3: :awww:

Sadly, this result was kinda expected :[

But good news: I forgot that the format is not the one of the pro year-end masters, actually the first 2 teams of each group are moving to the final draw, which means Turkey are! :D

GL girls, I think this one is winnable! :bounce:

Day 4: :bigclap:

This tie was a push fest :tears: Both Ozlem and leftie Aysegul have pretty nice groundies (Ozlem especially) which they hit carefully which is quite nice actually, but it's a bit too much and they seem to be lacking a killing shot. :awww:

Day 6:

Ending the week with #4 ranking (/16), which is not bad at all considering they were competing against big countries like Russia, Czechia, USA, Japan, China, Belgium... Congrats girls! :hi5: :yeah:
