Can we increase the max pixel height for sig images?

... to 250 or something?

200 is like... so small. Seriously, I say that in all genuineness. It's very restrictive, and I don't think an extra 50 pixels would make a huge difference in this age of cable and high speed internet LOL.

Please consider it. Graphics is one of the most popular topics/activities on this board as well...

Not a good idea, 200 is perfectly fine :)

Cause then in order to give it some substance, you need to stretch it across the whole damn page in width, like yours. :weirdo: Douchebag.

Ouch, having your womanly times?

Ignoring your personal insults, I will say that you can fit the same amount of substance you can fit in a 250px banner, in a 200px banner (if you have enough brains).

And my signature doesnt stretch the page unless you are using a screen smaller than 800px, in which case, you might as well have signature/acatar turned off.

200 Pixel is fine, and my signature doesnt stretch the page unless you have are using an iphone to browse internet , or a screen which is smaller than 800 pixel, in which case, you might as well turn off the avatar/signatures.

I'm on a 1024 x 768 actually, and it stretches the messages.

And there's no menstrual shit going on here, sweetie. It just bothers me when a retarded board troll, a self-proclaimed retard, tries to pass his/her opinion off as legit. I'm sure many people in here agree with your stance, and that's fine. I'd just rather they came in and expressed it, as opposed to you. Really. Go post in some half-witted thread in GM, as you do best.

:)

Why wouldnt my opinion be legit? just because I am a 'troll' (which you said only because I have different opinions than you ), my opinions counts for as much as yours. (Where did you see me proclaim myself as a retard? It is reetard, with an extra e, if you cannot read)

Being able to use a forum are not a right, its a privilage, so stop whinning.

Anyways, aside from your personal insults, my opinion is that, a 250px banner will make you scroll extra anyways  Right now you are scrolling sideways, with a 250px banner, you will be scrolling sideways as well as extra scrolling downwards.

Bad idea. 200px is fine.

LOL I'm just being an asshole, forget about it. I may have confused you with someone else, trolls tend to be pretty one-dimensional these days.

Back to thread - that extra scrolling for a handful of extra pixels on a page of images would take a mere second extra. If that. Scrolling up and down is less of a hassle for internet users than side to side. Fact. :ras:

Ok guys, calm down already.

We set the 200 pixels as a reasonable height in the past, because we were getting a lot of complaints from posters about larger banners. We may reconsider it at the moment, right now we do not. It's a question of banner size, font size, all together. We understand everyone wants to have cool graphics in their sigs, but we think it's important to keep the board accesible for everyone.
btw, we have recently set a width limit as well; 800 pixels. Hmm I'm not sure if that got added in the FAQ section. I guess I should check

Why is it that big? :spit:

I'm also very surprised anyone would think that those huge banners look good, but whatever...

Actually I agree with your question on the width. We should maybe check the average pix size of screens to set the limits

So am I. I find those banners so annoying and they make the page so difficult to read that I have signatures disabled for a while now...

the smaller the better as far as im concerned. people have avatars to show off themselves or favourites why do they then need to fill a whole sig with them as well?

200px is definitely NOT enough.
450px please.
And people who don't like it can disable signatures.

If banners with that height were allowed they would always look like apart of the post which I find horrible. IMO 200px is just enough (even though I rarely use anything higher than 170px
