Re: MD Entry List

They're not using one of the WC spots, so Vikhlyantseva is in.

I am guessing Schoofs will get a WC.

She had been ranked high though. Higher than she is now.

Second time in 3 years she has pulled out of Rosmalen because of a deep Roland Garros run.

Also, she turns 22 on Saturday and is delighted to make Roland Garros as an excuse from withdrawal, so she can party instead of caring about her awful ranking which might see her drop out of top 100 after Wimbledon. Rosmalen was perfect event to vulture cheap points...

Really hope they can give us another top 10 or top 20 player but I fear this will be a disappointing edition...

The ATP tournament will be miles better after Aryna, Elise & Amanda also pull out. Iím also a big ATP fan but you can also see these players in Rotterdam so I wish the WTA side wasnít falling apart

That's a fair point. I was kind of looking at it from my perspective. Even as a big tennis fan, while I'd still happily watch the likes of Kuzmova vs Kuznetsova, if this was Nottingham and I'd travelled 2+ hours, I would have been disappointed as it's great watching a promising youngster, like Yastremska at Ilkley last year, but I guess a lot of those attending will be very local and just casually rock up for a day of tennis, and only be aware of the biggest names.

Konta will be an interesting one with being associated with Nature Valley and was a massive part of the promo (especially as Boulter is out and Watson is playing Manchester), but I'm sure most would understand IF she made the RG final and then withdrew.
