Re: Season 2015 - Results

I don't know, but retiring from a dominant position like that doesn't sound good

QF Taipei:

Flipkens won 4-6 2-1 by retirement.
Slava hit 9 aces.
I hope everything is ok.
Any news?

Taipei R2: Slava Shvedova - Amandine Hesse 3-6 7-6(2) 6-2

3 sets against I think Slava is a little bit tired.
Flipkens is next. Tough match. H2H 2-1 for Slava.

Keep going!

The ups and downs of sport.
Two weeks ago in Beijing I had a heavy fall on court and suffered a blow to the back of the head resulting in concussion and whiplash injuries.
After spending a night in the hospital in Beijing and having to stay there for a few extra days, I was able to fly home. Since then I have been doing my absolute best to get myself ready for the WTA Finals in Singapore which I have been sooooo excited about since we qualified for after the US Open.
Unfortunately I am not fully recovered and I have to withdraw from Singapore.
I am absolutely devastated and I am so sorry to my partner Yaroslava Shvedova as I know we deserved our spot in Singapore and have been one of the best doubles teams this year.
I will eventually be ok but for now it’s time for me to rest and recover both my body and mind and to spend some time with my family.
Thanks for the support always guys.
Love Case ❤

Sucks so much Muguruza/Suarez-Navarro are now in.
Sux for both girls

I wonder if Slava is gonna play a few challengers now or if this news ended her season?

Oh, Slava & Alizé actually were dubs partners this week, they won the title today, beating Arruabarrena/Klepac 7-5 6-4 in the final!

Re: Season 2015 - Results

Falconi is a tough, smart and resourceful player so I'm not surprised she gave Slava problems. It seems like Slava cannot harness the very large potential in her game. She's very athletic but unfortunately loses control over her shots at times. And on top of that she has some mental demons to overcome.

I hope she can revive her tennis soon. For a long time now she just hasn't been all that good.
