Re: Medibank International

Nice, so they can go to Melbourne now and as the weather seems to be weird in Australia, that's better for both of them instead of playing a final saturday or sunday.

Re: Medibank International

guys its still okay...after all she did have good wins over rezai and oudin....although during maria's match her forehand didn't look great, cibi was just smashing it back after she did a forehand, also she didn't put enough on her slice which had her guessing which side cibi was going to hit it to. cibi was more determined to win though, she was training with her coach on the same court 1-1.5 hours before the match, my grandma turned around and said "nice face...chubby body" i think cibbi heared

Eh...not a good way to start off the WTA season. Nice win in doubles though.

Hoping for a great AO.

Re: Medibank International

Too bad for the singles loss.

Let's hope she can rest up a bit here while polishing her game some more during doubles too.

Re: Medibank International

Maybe she didn't want to play against Woz, so i'm not worried, next week will be much more important.

Re: Medibank International

she played very different in doubles compared to singles. honestly guys kiri didn't play very bad in singles (nowhere near her potential). However cici played extremely well so don't take anything away from her.

Re: Medibank International

She played bad.. and she didn't seem to care. I don't think people should worry too much she only arrived in Hong Kong Sunday afternoon. I know she can play better and I'm sure she will. Was a good match in doubles anyways.

Re: Medibank International

She should of played Brisbane or Auckland...

Good doubles win by Vikkiri, next up is Jans/Rosolska (who beat the top seeds!)

It's obvious she was just trying to get them in and probably focusing on placing it more than power. Her serve looked strong in Hong Kong. I noticed she was stretching it out a lot in the third set, and her facial expressions showed some concern.

I believe 60 percent or better is great for first serve winning percentage and I don't believe she gets in 71 percent of her first serves when she goes for it. She's had shoulder problems last year, and serving in cold temperatures will always make matters worse.

Hopefully, it's nothing serious. If I were a baseball manager, I would have immediately walked out to the mound with my trainer when I first noticed her problem in Hong Kong.
