spokenword73 Venus seems a lot more relaxed. I think she likes the lower profile, even though she is #2 in the world!!

THE MODERATOR: Questions for Venus, please.

Q. Excuse me if this question has been asked already. I wasn't here the whole time. You played Ansley Cargill a year ago. Can you assess her game and where you think she is if you remember from when you played her a year ago?
VENUS WILLIAMS: I think some of her best assets, she runs very well and she just tries till the very end. I think last year she came through the qualifying. This year she did also. I suppose if we hadn't met tonight, she probably could have been able to get to the next round also. I think she's very good, actually.

This was what Venus said.

When she plays a top player or a challenger player on a good day, Ansley's only option is to be a gracious loser. She's the kind of player that can drive you nuts on a slow clay court and if you have a bad temper, but these are fast hard courts and venus won't wilt.

Venus 6-2 6-2-still working off the rust, but she'll be in better form today.
The result was 6-3, 6-0. The stats show that Ansley was playing consistent tennis. But I think her results have been better on the faster courts. Hopefully I'll get to see some highlights tonight and then give my assesment tomorrow.
