I think it's hateful to keep encouraging someone to do something they're clearly not good at anymore, but that's just me. I could understand it if Alex weren't qualified to do anything else, but anyone who has ever held a conversation with her knows that isn't the case.

If anything, Alex is selling herself short by continuing to pursue a career that she no longer has the aptitude for. I just came from the tournament, and someone who saw Alex play yesterday said that she looked as if her heart is no longer in it, and she's playing because her mother is pushing her to play. I truly believe that Alex has an unlimited future in anything but tennis.

Quite the contrary, my friend. I'm disappointed when I see someone wasting their time doing something they obviously can't do anymore, like Alex. If you had seen Surina De Beer play today, you would tell Alex to give it up, because if you want to make it back to the big time, you do not lose to players like that. Period.

I don't understand how i'm delusional just because i'm a fan of hers.

I hope she does well, but it's not like i'm saying she's going to win Wimbledon as she thinks she will.

Very much so, especially if she
continues her good play.

There's a thin line between optimism and delusion, and you're in danger of crossing it.

Unfortunately, it's raining today, so unless they can relocate to the San Francisco Tennis Club, Alex won't play until tomorrow.
