3rd leg spare cards and values!

Tennis Poker 2009
3rd leg: March 23rd May 3rd
Miami, Ponte Vedra Beach, Marbella, Charleston, Barcelona, Stuttgart, Fes

The number of picks has gone up to 32, adding Suarez-Navarro and Kirilenko to the mix.
28 competed in Miami, and Ruano-Pascual got a value the following week in Marbella. So, only 3 players out of these 32 hasn't played in the 3rd leg yet, waiting for the last 2 main draws to be released.
At this stage the players needing a replacement would be Larcher De Brito, Sharapova and Raymond, and the spare cards would be the same of the 2nd leg: Cibulkova, Kanepi and Chakvetadze.

See you next week for the final update!

Re: 3rd leg spare cards and values!

I had A/K/K/Q/Q and I still didn't make it past qualifying.

I guess I can't complain that there's no depth in tennis poker - this leg anyway .

^ They love you though.

It's probably been years since you played qualifying but, take it from me - ask anyone in the qualifier's locker room who they'd like to play in the main draw.

The Crow is the top answer.

I'm sure that's because of the honour of all the valuable ranking points they'll get from beating you just being on court with a tennis poker legend.

Hum, so how come 'It's probably been years since I played qualifying'? (as far as I know, I have never played qualifying, but I'm sure DocG will correct me on that)

Qualies are tough this year, you needed more than 450 pts to qualify in the 3rd leg.

But I've good news for you: with Tine breaking the top 24 and entering the 4th leg main draw directly, you're going to get a wild card.

I dont' have the whole database with me at this very moment, but I do have the ranking history file (which will be updated later today): it's a safe bet to say you haven't played qualies since 2002, right after your singles debut.

Oo, Kart is back in the main draw!! We should all be scared now.

Everyone you meet is fighting a battle you know nothing about.
Be kind.
Always.

Fair point - in my youthful excitement, I forgot that when it comes to tennis poker: I'm Serena Williams and you're Suzanne Lenglen.
