I think Gisela's worst loss is probably the loss to Bondarenko at Amelia Island 6-0 6-1 or 6-1 6-0 whatever it was, it wasn't pretty

I think she also lost to Sharapova 6-0, 6-1 or 6-1, 6-0... but the loss to Bondarenko was much worse because she was expected to win that match.

Gisela Dulko. Forever.

I have to say the Bremond match at Wimby was maybe the worst.

It wasn't the match that she played worst in, just the manner of her defeat
(at GSs in general she's struggled, losing to the likes of MDO, Cho, etc )

Come on the Bhoys!

The match against Bremond at Wimbledon was the single most upsetting tennis match I've ever seen.

Not so much the worst defeat but definately the most painful.

Re: Gisela s worst loss??

Now, her worst defeat is the last one,
US Open 2009, 4th round vs Kateryna Bondarenko 0-6 0-6,
Gisela was favorite to reach SF in this side of the draw:

40º: Gisela Dulko ARG
50º: Yanina Wickmayer BEL
52º: Kateryna Bondarenko UKR
72º: Petra Kvitova CZE

Anyway, 4th round was her best US Open result and she jumped from 40° to 32° in the ranking.

Why do you remember that match? Was horrible , definitely was the worst!

I also remember against Bammer in Pattaya final , where she had 2 or 3 match points and she lost it.

Jorgelina Cravero - Maria Irigoyen

Paula Ormaechea - Flor Molinero - Pitu Salerni - Paola Suarez - Betina Jozami - Erica Krauth - Rossana De Los Rios - Verónica Spiegel - Ana Clara Duarte - Gisela Dulko

Re: Gisela s worst loss??

Yes you are right!
There are two ways to consider a match as her "worst loss":
1) the score: US Open 2009: 0-6 0-6
2) a match impossible to lose! Losing match points, a very weak rival, a very lower ranked rival.
Those are also matchs to be called "the worst lose"

Anyway, I will surf this forum again to find if you have opened a "Gisela´s Best Victory" thread
We should let US Open back and look forward again.

(I love to bump old threads, if you have not notice that)
