The 40 game QF was the longest mixed match here in some time and the match of the tournament. Each set was extended.

In the final a crowd of 4,000 witness Nuthall and Lott win in straights over the all-English pair of Covell and Austin. The Times said "Miss Nuthall drove and volleyed in masculine fashion."
