Marie Wagner

WAGNER Marie
American player
Born : February 02, 1883
Died : March 28, 1975
U.S. Highest Ranking : 3
Year of Induction in the International Hall of Fame : 1969

An exceedingly generous woman who was interested in the growth and development of tennis as she was in a personal quest for success, Wagner was runner-up to Mary K. Browne at the 1914 U.S. Championships. The winner of six U.S. Indoor Singles titles and four more in Doubles, she was ranked among the top ten in the United States for nine years total, eight of them consecutively. Re: Marie Wagner

Marie Wagner won these two watches in a 1922 tennis tournament and, as you can see, often wore them during her lifetime. Marie Wagner is in the International Tennis Hall of Fame.
