The rest of the year for Monica...

Barring any injury, I believe Monica should play these events(of course she never plays the "perfect" schedule IMO) after Wimbledon:

Acura Classic
JP Morgan Open
Roger's AT&T Cup
*1 wk. off*
US Open
*1 wk. off*
Polo Open Shanghai(EASY tier II points!)
*1 wk. off*
Kremlin Cup
*1 wk. off*
Swisscom Challenge
*2 wks. off*
Advanta Championships
Season-ending Championships(if she gets there...at this rate of play, she never will, and she NEEDS to play all of these events to get the required points, as she is way behind those who had a good start to the year...)

This would put Monica at approximately 18 or 19 events for the year, a healthy number, especially considering she didn't go far into tournaments early this year...What do you think?

mmcdonald. i agree, but i think she needs swisscom. she is really hurying from missing back to back to back tier I's.
i think it should be like this.

french open (DUH)
~0-2 weeks off depending on a warmup (probably 2)
wimbledon with maybe a tier III warmup (dfs or vienna). not hastings (rest and strong field)
~2 weeks off unless she plays fed cup (doubtful)
stanford tier II
san diego tier I?
~1 weeks off
Toronto tier I
~1 week off, but a vital week
US OPEN
~if china, 1 week; if russia, 2 weeks.
Shanghai tier II OR kremlin cup tier I (i prefer kremlin cup bc of SARS)
~1 or 2 weeks off
swisscom tier I
~1 week off
Philly tier II- just for fun.

this should get her to la, but if not... then she needs to play LA btwn san diego and toronto.

Well she is commited to the Rogers AT&T Cup and the J.P. Morgan. That is it, she actually on their websites listed.
