It's not terrible news, I mean it's very sad, she's having to get this surgery, but let's just keep our fingers crossed that everything goes ok and she can be back playing again
Take as much time as you need to get fully fit Martina, because in this case, it's all about hopefully the next 10 years in tennis, not about coming back before you are ready. Just rest up and hopefully we'll see you back on court again
Yeah you are right mtness, we all think about Martina, but especially on Monday, let's just hope it all goes really well
I am happy too!I mean it's really sad for Martina to have surgery but things look a lot better now!Martina even talked about a speedy recovery so i guess that the princess will be back on court in a couple of months!Wimbledon will be too early i guess! But i'm very very happy that the injury isn't chronic so i don't think that there's any need for us to think that we might not see her back!MARTI IS A FIGHTER!she will be back and remember how she came back after her surgery last year.....She came back VERY strong!
I mean, after all the bad news we got this week, this one is just a relief! Just look at the way she recovered from last fall's surgery...i have no doubt she'll do the same after this one!! And she's such a fighter...There's absolutely no doubt in my mind, we'll see her on the courts again: happy, healthy...and smiling!!
Good luck dear Marti...and take all the time you need...we'll wait for you!!
i told you! i was talking all these days about how far was the retirement for martina, but many ppl didn't believe my words and they preferred to thought the worst things. well, leave that horribles thoughts!!! martina will be OK and ready for to win RG 2003!!!

I hope this surgery is the last one for you for many years Marti...it is so painful to see you on the sidelines so often when we know you love this game so much...please Marti take as much time as you need to recover, so that we can see you back better than ever on the court again
All Martina fans unite behind her....it has been a very difficult 12 months ...but we must look towards the future with optimism
Its sad she needs surgery and will be out for some time.
But there is no other choice, the injury will have to heal once and for all.
The last few days we faced the prospect of maybe a retirement, so above all I am incredibly glad and relieved that is not the case.
I cant imagine a tennisworld without her.
Lets hope the surgery and recovery will go fine, we all know she will come back strong!I have all the faith in the world in her.
im not that bothered if she had to retire or not(hopefully not) as long as she is happy and has an enjoyable life, and the problems she is having now dont bother her in later life. Sounds a bit harsh but i just want whats best for Martina.

I think eventually, we all want the best for her. So, in that case I don't think it's harsh .
But it would be a (great) los if she had to retire!
Martina...you just do what u need to do...take a good rest...and then come back...dont care what happens...even if u drop to beyond 10 or 40...just come back and play...coz tennis wont be fun with u around anymore...takecare and when u have healed completely train hard and make a comeback...
