Martina Get Well Vigil

Everyone on the board(practically) hopes Martina doesn't have to retire. And we, as Martians, should keep the faith for her, hoping those shoes haven't ruined her career. So I ask all Martians to post here, to (hopefully ) keep Martina on the court!

I certainly am keeping the faith.

For me, tennis would have a big empty hole in it if Martina were to leave.

Martina forever!

i am not a martian but i sincerely hope that she is going to recover soon, its such a wastage of talent if she cannot play, i hope the doctor is only exaggerated

thanx Miranda for your lovely words hey martians, Martina can not say bye in that way. she needs to win Roland Garros first. and she knows that. she is a champion. a nature born winner. she will defeat her injuries by a 6-0 6-0 score remember this, a double bagel from Martina to the artrosis

Geneva: Former world number one Martina Hingis could retire after failing to overcome persistent injury problems her doctor said on Wenesday
Hingis doctor Heinz Buhlmann said the 21-year old has a range of injuries and may have to hang up her racquet.
The swiss star’s most serious problem is an injury to her left foot. She is due to undergo tests later this week, and if the prognosis is bad Bulhmann said he would advise the player to retire.
“for the moment, talking about it is pointless, but I can tell u on Saturday”, Buhlmann told SportInformation news agency.
“ Naturally it’s Martina who has to take the decision. But her joints are worn out. In the worst case scenario if she continues to play then 10 years from now she risks not being able to do any sports activity”, he added
Hingis’s injury problem have all but ruled her out of the French Open which starts at Roland Garros on May 27 and according to Buhlmann she could be in doubt for Wimbledon.
“ She will be at Wimbledon only if rehabilitation process goes perfectly”, he said “But personnaly I think it will be impossible for her to play there”
As Well as the foot problem Hingis additional injuries to her left knee and left hip and is not even currently able to train.

I read this news in my newspaper today!!..ouchhh
