No I didnt see her on the commitment lists for next weeks Tier III events...I was hoping maybe she would request a wildcard but I doubt it...all we can hope for is that she practising her butt off and will be well prepared for RG...something that looked so promising a few weeks ago is turning into crap
Heaven forbid Iva fans having something to be happy about for longer than a week Not fair
Some good news guys! According to a post in the Madrid forum, Iva is playing there!!!
Woohoo! Looks as though she may have gotten a WC? I dunno, but Im happy regardless!
My only worry is....that she is in a Spanish tournament, that will no doubt be over-run by lots of Spanish players that propably dont mind being on court for half a day...so I hope Iva brings her energy drinks with her cos we all know what happens when she plays long matches Here's to some quick matches I want my baby fit for Paris
Good point about the long matches and the Spanish moonballers, Terry. Iva does seem to dehydrate easily. Wonder what that's due to??? Even if she gets only a couple matches in, it should be good preparation for Paris but she might as well go for the whole ball of wax.
Ooh... mixed feelings about Madrid. Obviously I want Iva to do as well as possible, but really RG is more important, and if a Prusova-type situation happens here... so it'll have to be double bagels all the way to the title Iva so you're fresh for Paris!
Well, if she does well she cen get into top25 here. In fact, technically, she could enter top20, but too many variables are involved for that.
Whatever the case might be, some double bagles is deffinately what the doctor ordered...
Good to see she is playing in Madrid, i think three weeks off heading into Roland Garros might be too much. As long as she doesn't have too many long matches this shouldn't be a problem ...I do think that she is a lot more resilient this year.
