Tennis Clipping Scans

Hi

I was going through some boxes and found an old Chris Evert scrapbook that I bought on EBAY ages ago.. I took one of the clippings out and gave it a scan (im inspired by Jeff!) I will try and do more, no promises though haha

What a great idea! And thanks for the compliment. There is so much information right at our fingertips and so many ways we can learn from the past in this forum. I'm just happy there are people like Rollo and Brian Stewart who keep it going!

There is nothing more beautiful than Evonne Goolagong in full flight moving across a tennis court.

This is an article I did for our local tennis newsletter back in July of 1995. The phone numbers are no longer the same, so it's safe to publish. I sent it to Billie Jean in Chicago for her review, and never heard anything back from her. Then I saw her at the World TeamTennis playoffs in Albany, NY. She was busy chatting up Nitty Singh, the promoter (who looked beautiful in her traditional Hindi garb), but Billie took a minute to talk to me about the article. She really busted my chops about it- "BUT IT DOESN'T SAY ANYTHING, JEFF!" and then after a few seconds of pensive thought, she said "Oh, all right" and she signed it and went on her merry wheeling-and-dealing with Nitty way. Again, this lady is very special. Buy you all knew that!

TennisFan75 -

Thank you very much for sharing that, I dont have any video
footage of that match, so thank you for allowing me to relive
that Evert match. Please keep them coming! Also, if you
have any ariticles on Kathy Rinaldi, I would greatly appreciate
that too.
