Martina got the toughest draw ina while...

the first round only should be o'k... after that (all just possibilities):

in-form Dechy
in-form (an playing excellent) Stevenson
S Williams or Shaugnessy
W Williams

final: Capriati, Clijsters, Hantuchova, Henin

I really am not sure whether it's possible to win this title...

Anyhow, GO QUEEN OF THE TENNIS!!!! Go Martina!

Vassilissa is my girl............

It's a real nasty draw , in a lot of ways it's very similar to how the Aussie Open draw was until Serena pulled out. It annoys me when the likes of Jennifer always seems to get easy draws though , although her tournament will be over when Anna beats her!!

It's going to be difficult for Martina, to beat both the Williams, but never give up hope everyone!!

you'll show 'em my girl

A single flow'r he sent me, since we met./All tenderly his messenger he chose;
Deep-hearted, pure, with scented dew still wet - One perfect rose.
I knew the language of the floweret;/'My fragile leaves,' it said, 'his heart enclose.'
Love long has taken for his amulet/One perfect rose.
Why is it no one ever sent me yet/One perfect limousine, do you suppose?
Ah no, it's always just my luck to get/One perfect rose.

Yeah it's a tough draw but it's true what they say: to be the best you have to beat the rest...
besides, I'd rather see Martina lose in the semifinals than in the final, so I actually like that she faces Venus in the SF. seems like if she can beat Venus, she can win the tournament. If not, then it's at least not another final loss.

Lifewasadisaster, there is no way I want Marti losing to Venus in the semis, I'd far rather she lost in the final. For a start I hate Marti losing to Venus, and also if she loses to Venus, it'll give Venus more chance of holding onto number 1 than Marti, and also it does far more damage to Marti mentally when she loses to the Williams, and then finally I don't want to hear the Venus fans on this board going on about the match. So I'd take Marti losing in the final now, rather than losing in the semi final.

Well really if Martina wants the top spot back she has to be able to beat everybody. No mather who's standing on the otherside. And if she's not able to beat them all well then forget that she'll ever be back!!

Sure the draw might not be easy but heck I don't want her to have an easy title I want her to be able to fight again and beat them all and show them who's still the best just to shut them all up!!

So come on Martina. Put all you're skills together and fight!! Play your game (as you started to do so at the beginning of the year!!) don't try to compy somebody!

Control your bodylanguage and just never give up and believe in yourself!!

25 winners 8 errors...50 minutes perfect start...

i hope she can carry it through...Really its a nasty draw but if she comes through this Roland Garros is only heartbeat away...If not then she will regroup and come back twice as determined for RG!

This would give her soo much confidence!!

Im sure she can do it!

A born champion indeed!!!!!

Safe.

i think a tough draw is better for Martina in most tournaments she has it far too easy upto the semis or thereabouts and then shes not ready.A tough draw will keep her focused right throughout the draw.

give em hell Martina!
