Which players have reached the semis of all four slams?

This must be a pretty elite group. Some of you tennis junkies must know the answer off the top of your head. Quickly, I can think of: Martina N; Chris; Hana; Andrea; Steffi; Gabby; Monica; Aranxta; Mary Joe; Conchita; Capriati; Martina H; Venus; Serena; Clistjers; and Henin-Hardenne. Did Lindsay ever reach the French semis? Did Jana ever reach the U.S. Open semis? Who are the notable absentees from this list? Tracy Austin; Helena Sukova; Pam Shriver.....

Yes,Lindsay Davenport reached the French semi in 98 and she lost to Sanchez-Vicario.

Margaret Court and Billie-Jean King also did reach the semis of the 4 grand-slams.

Margaret Smith-Court, Steffi Graf, Chris Evert-Lloyd-Mill, Martina Navratilova, Billie Jean Moffit-King, Monica Seles, Evonne Goolagong-Cawley, Maria Bueno, Serena Williams, Martina Hingis, Althea Gibson, Arantxa Sanchez-Vicario, Venus Williams, Hana Mandlikova, Ann Haydon-Jones, Lindsay Davenport, Angela Mortimer-Barrett, Justine Hénin-Hardenne, Jennifer Capriati, Shirley Fry, Nancy Richey-Gunter, Lesley Turner-Bowrey, Jana Novotna, Gabriela Sabatini, Kerry Melville-Reid, Conchita Martinez, Christine Truman-Janes, Louise Brough, Doris Hart, Kim Clijsters, Mary Joe Fernandez, Andrea Jaeger.

I'm pretty sure this is the complete list for players since 1955. Before then, Maureen Connolly springs to mind.

Nice one, Andy. Why do some players ALWAYS seem to get left off so many lists?

Pierce made four finals and won two of those. Other than those four finals, she never even made it to the semis. Never a factor at Wimbledon or the USO (though she almost beat Lindsay at the USO qfs).

Well true, but she was only a set away from reaching the Wimbledon semis in 1996 when she took the first set of her quarter final match with Date 6-3 before losing.

Thanks Andrewtas. Does anyone know if that feat was cited during her HoF induction - it ought to have been.

Also Capriati in 2001 and Clijsters & Henin-Hardenne in 2003. That's 13 players in 50 years (Bueno, Court, King, Goolagong, Evert, Navratilova, Graf, Seles, Martinez, Hingis, Capriati, Henin & Clijsters)

1946-54
1950: Doris Hart
1953: Mo Connolly

...which makes just 14 players since 1939. I don't think there were any pre-1939.
