Santorofan, if I recall correctly, Classic Sports network was started by ESPN maybe around 1995?? And was part of the ESPN family of networks. I suppose some marketing guy for the company decided that ESPN should change the name to "ESPN Class Sports Network" as it gained in popularity. Unless there was another seperate network airing classic sports, this is the only one that I'm aware of.
But if it is the same network, there is a difference in the programming. They are not showing nearly as many tennis matches. In fact, I seem to recall that every Sunday night they had a new tennis match to feature. Those would involve Laver, Nastase, Smith, Connors, Borg, McEnroe, King, Evert, Navratilova, and Goolagong mostly. But they no longer do that.
Back in the early 90's, I wrote to several networks such as ESPN, CBS, and NBC about obtaining copies of matches from them. Only ESPN replied and said that they did not make copies of matches for anyone except those involved in the matches or other media sources.
