Yes, many happy returns Nancy

Hope you have a great day and a wonderful year.

PS: Thanks for the lovely email. Just so you know it was at my work email and I have been off sick with a nasty dose of the flu for the past 6 days and that's the only reason I haven't been able to reply yet (I don't have your email address on my home computer). As soon as I get back to work and catch up I will get back to you.

Sometimes ladies don't like to be reminded but seeing the others have mentioned it I'll also say Happy Birthday and have a great day!

I'll add my best wishes from the City of Lights where you rose above the civil unrest, student riots and strikes to win the very first open major in history!

Here's wishing the first Slam champ of the Open Era a very happy birthday. Many happy returns of the day, Nancy!

Best left-right combination by a German (and that includes Max Schmeling): Steffi Graf. All she did in 1987 was knock Navratilova out of #1 and try to knock Evert out of the sport. (Mike Lupica in "The Best and Worst of Tennis in 1987", World Tennis)

"A couple of years ago, we nicknamed Steffi Graf's forehand 'Jaws'. And that music would go perfectly when she starts running in to the net, swarming on that little ball." (JoAnne Russell, during the 1988 Wimbledon final between Graf and Navratilova)
