Sandrine in Dubai

It looks like she'll enter the tournament as the fourth seed. Hopefully Sandrine can get a couple matches and get back her confidence here, the sight of a three set thriller against Martina last year in quarters...

ALLEZ!!!

Nicolas, I dont think Martina is here

Go Sandrine in Dubai! Get 2002 back on track! She displayed great form in Sydney, but aside from that it hasnt been a great year. We know the good form is in her, she will bounce back Im sure

Rita will be tough for her ... let's hope that Adriana somehow wins , even though I like Rita more.

I fear Rita also, Jerome.

Sandrine's 3-1 against both Adriana and Rita but Rita is clearly the more dangerous player for Sandrine with her slice and dice game. If Rita is the opponent, let's hope Sandrine's forehand is on because Rita will defintely pick on it with those low slices. I don't think I can root against Rita vs. Adriana so I'll let the chips fall where they may.

The thing I'm worried about is that lower ranked opponents will now be loaded for bear and play more confidently knowing that Sandrine is struggling. Am I becoming paranoid??? I just don't think I can take another early round defeat.

allez

Sorry for the somber tone of this post.

Will someone please post something to get me angry? I think it's important that we send some of Scott's "kick ass" vibes from the Dubai cheering thread to Sandrine. She needs to get angry!

Oh, what do ya know, we're now in triple digits - a milestone!

I just recorded the 100th post for our forum!

We're still lagging behind the others (except Alex's) so I may have to kick some ass myself!

Tough enough draw in the light of Sandrine's recent form. I guess 1 match at a time is required but I'm sure her fighting instinct is going to kick in soon. I also think the prescence of Venus Williams in her half of the draw could help Sandrine as she always seems to get more up for it when she's got the very big names around her.

Happy 100th post!

Anyway, this is quite a tough draw as Adriana and Rita are playing very well. Sandrine will have her hands full, but I think she's raring to go and she will prove a few doubters wrong!

OK....Ed, I'll post something to get you angry...Kimberly Po?

Allez Sandrine! Back to normal form like you did in my hometown, Sydney - revenge Tina Pisnik and trashed Henrieta Nagyova who beat ASV in previous round to reached quarters!

It must be working!

Sandrine and Roby won their first round doubles against some unknown Russian pair (at least I never heard of them) . Final score was 6-3, 6-2. Hopefully this will carry over into the singles against Rita who survived her opening match against Adriana Gersi after a first set bagel, 0-6,6-4,7-5.

Ok, enough celebrating. Time to put on a sour face.

Well that got him going

Congrats girls! I believe it was Rodionova and ??? someone?

oops I thought you guys meant Adriana Serra-Zanetti instead of Gersi! hehe, thats why I mentioned "both are playing well"...I cant believe no-one picked up on that, since that Gersi has hardly won a match (if any at all!) this year!...I feel so stupid

I was actually wondering why Adriana S-Z was in Memphis beating Mirjana!

OK...time to get that ball rolling and knock over a few pins! (If Camille Pin was playing that would be the best pun ever!) Sorry...its past my bedtime

ALLEZ!

Terry! Enough talking about those insignificant fillers in the draw.

Time for our Goddess to put them in their place!

Roll, Sandrine, roll!
