We can't use them for what they were intended for which is v-Bookie. And no one has come up with any other uses for them since I have been on the Forum. I sent a question to "Steve" about it since I didn't think anyone on site could do anything about it. But I never heard back from "Steve".

It can be switched off entirely. It can even be switched off (the earning and spending of credits) on an individual basis (for a specific poster). So far the webmaster has always suggested a possible use for credits in the future. However nothing has been done with that suggestion until now.

James maybe you can have a talk with "Steve" because "he" told me that it couldn't be turned off for a user. My first response from him said it showed my activity in the community. I wrote him back and said I thought my post count did that. "He" replied with the response in my first sentence here. And "he" didn't specifically address the issue of turning it off for the whole Forum, but I got the feeling from his PM that it wasn't possible to do that. I could have picked up the wrong idea about the whole Forum, but I know "he" did definitely say it couldn't be turned off for one person.

I don't know what was said specifically. It is a Vbcreditoption though to switch off the earning and spending of credits in the profile of a user. It would likely still show the amount of credits even if they do not grow anymore.
