Question

Is there a way to restrict PMs from someone/everyone without putting the person on ignore?
I receive all these stupid PMs about taking part in games etc. But wish to continue reading their posts on the board.

If you're not paying for something, then you're the product.

Re: Question

Options in User CP has where you can disable PMing altogether or where you can get PMs only from buddies. I hope that helps

Re: Question

You either ignore list them or disable PMs altogether.

Your choice.

What, allowing ppl to opt out from such solicitations would be so bad? This may be the only outfit on the internet that lets ppl opt out of its own promo's (the newsletters) but not those of others. And BTW, I'm not mixing up the Games with commercial spam, nor saying they shouldn't be here.

And doc, its not your fault that the software here is like a decade behind the times in terms of allowing individual preferences. But Jelsoft could probably develop such customizations if client boards want them to. Maybe you should discuss the matter with the webmaster.

I already said that Kurt, no need to repeat.

Re: Question

That is true Uranium but I like to put in an appearance before closing threads so you all know who to blame via bad rep.

*JR* my tour of duty will be completed at the end of the year and I doubt any major software updates will happen before my retirement.

So, if you feel especially strongly about it, perhaps you could discuss it with the webmaster directly. I'm afraid I have some other projects I'd rather complete before it's too late.
