Yet another one of those: "Why was my thread deleted?" Threads..

Why was my thread deleted?
https://www.tennisforum.com/showthrea...9#post13064459

All it was was a thread about Yuri Sharapov. I didn't say I was going to put him in a well or that I'd let him die. I left it 100% anonymous so that no one would know!

And if posting a thread about my thread is the wrong way to go, please, tell me who deleted my thread and I will PM them personally for information.

I have no probably with the moderators on this board, I just thought I should have at least some idea of who deleted my thread or why it was deleted or something

How should you be? You should be like a rocky promontory against which the restless surf continuously pounds.
It stands fast while the churning sea is lulled to sleep at its feet. I hear you say,
"How unlucky that this should happen to me."
But not at all.
Perhaps say instead how lucky I am that I am not broken by what has happened,
and I am not afraid of what is about to happen.

i agree, if thread is deleted a PM should be sent to the poster saying why, same for a post.
but thats just my opinion

I would even be satisfied with like a Warning in my User CP (I can't think of the word right now...)... like an infraction notice that says: "insert mods name has deleted your thread because it was insert reason"

Since I never paid much attention when they treated the subject of Ignoring complaining posters in mod class, I guess I will give an answer.

Don't know the exact reason for moving, but it is probably for the potential of it derailing fast. Then again it could have been considered a baiting thread. Truth is probably somewhere in the middle. We did receive complaints, in any case.

Warning someone only makes sense if the reason for deleting lies with the thread starter. If that is the case the infraction or warning will follow (unless the mod in question really wants to get back to the jacuzzi, you might get off easy in that case).

Thanks for answering!

I'm not too interested in exactly who deleted it I just was wondering exactly why. That makes sense anyway.

Thanks
