What’s the point of dedicated player sub-forums...

...when members don’t use them?

In Russian Roulette you have many examples: Sveta, Dementieva, Zvonareva, and many more, all preferring their original rambling single thread. Okay, it’s a little ironic, but I’ve no real problem with that, that’s there prerogative, but why not at least move those single threads into their dedicated sub-forum? Also pin the archived 5000+ newly padlocked threads in there too.

Btw, the real problem with the slowness of this site, is money grabbing Verticalscope not putting any money (they scewed from premium members here) back into the servers. That’s the problem. Try accessing this site at 6am-7am GMT, and it’s a fucking joke. Click on a page and it takes 5 minutes to get there - that’s if it doesn’t time-out. I haven’t got that time to waste at that time in the morning, so rarely bother now. There’s plenty of busier vBulletin boards around, that don’t have the same problems, and no padlocking of 5000+ threads involved.

Money grabbing Verticalscope, that’s your problem.

Re: What’s the point of dedicated player sub-forums...

One main thread in Russian Roulette is for talking about current results and draws etc.

Forums are used for pictures, videos, schedule, things the fans make up e.g. S.S. Dementieva.

It all can't be kept track of in one thread.

Well players forums have mods you know. If some of you want some reorganising done, why don't you discuss it with them?

One thread, versus having to contact/communicate with all the different mods responsible for all the different forums this happens on, at the same time excluding those who aren’t mods, from voicing their opinion? No I think it’s logical to raise the issue here, Yasmine. I’ll pm SloKid (responsible for the 3 forums I mentioned) with a link to this thread.

What has that link got to do with mods? VS is the compagny that runs the board. All mods/admins are volunteers and have nothing to do with VS.

And nothing stops you from launching a discussion about it with the mods in the appropriate forum as well. More chance to have opinions from the people who actually use that section.

You’re working for them. Unpaid pawns in their money leaching scheme. Not that I posted that link specifically for mods, but to back up the point I was making about why WTAW’s servers are slow.

Re: What’s the point of dedicated player sub-forums...

Agreed. We should have a sub-forum for Molik (Mt. Molik), Dellacqua (Dellacqua's Domain) and Stosur (Smash 'em Sam).

Soph Ferguson and Jarmila Gajdosova don't need one surely, neither does Jelena 'comeback' Dokic.

Im not sure but I would also give Marina Erakovic and Jessica Moore.
