Re: Ads in the middle of the page

Well this is great. I found a way to get rid of the advertisements in the middle of the page and then they find another way to show up. Ridiculous.

Re: Ads in the middle of the page

These ads are really awful!!! It's bad enough having a small ad inbetween the posts, but now it's a big stinking square ad about basketball........very 'tennis' related!!!

btw - People wont click on the ads if they are too annoying I would have thought with a forum this big, going for this amoung of years, that by now you would have got some proper sponsorship from more tennis related companies. If they are more tennis related...then I'm sure you would have more chance of people actually 'wanting' to click on them!! (Instead of having to trick people into it )

Re: Ads in the middle of the page

Are these ads causing the Database error to pop up?

Re: Ads in the middle of the page

I hope not, because they're kinda annoying and I thought buying lifetime membership would block these

Career Grand Slam in your 20s? Been there done that. Career golden slam your 30s?

Re: Ads in the middle of the page

Database errors were taken care of this morning.

I contacted them about the ad going to BBF.

Re: Ads in the middle of the page

It's really annoying, each time I read a new page I'm pissed off. I don't mind the ads at the top and side, but ads between post is way too intrusive. That's not going to accomplish much except alienating members.

(And this was obviously done on purpose, for those who are asking.)

Yes, it is better now, in a box that allows the continuity of the forum to be complete. If we have to have those NEW ads, in addition to all the others, this is better than just sitting there in no man's land below the first post.

The quality of everything is decreasing, squeezing more money out of everything these days. Can't fight it.

Re: Ads in the middle of the page

So basically the ad is just a cheap attempt to get people to join the basketball forum? Does anyone think that was the intention all along? That the "Remove Advertisements" link never existed?

Re: Ads in the middle of the page

They are annoying. We shouldn't have to see them if we are paying members.

"I want to do things on my own terms, I can't have anything take me out.
I have never given up and it's important for me to prove to myself that I can do this, and to prove to me that i'm a champion.
If I were just to sit down, lay down and give in, then I wouldn't have any respect for myself."

Re: Ads in the middle of the page

ya know what it was doing that to me too. I reported it and it was doing it to me this morning. Redirect brought me to BBF sign up.

I cleared cash and it's now correct for me.
