Giving out rep

I know it has been asked before, but let me try again anyway (i'm very persistent). Would it not be possible to give out more rep per 24 hours, say 15 or something? I know Carot will probably give his standard answer that it is hard to find that many good posts in a day , but I find 10 is rather limited in some situations. I wanted thank a lot of people who posted in a thread of mine, but that nearly took me three days.

And not to mention, the reputation limit. It's been stagnant for a while now.

How should you be? You should be like a rocky promontory against which the restless surf continuously pounds.
It stands fast while the churning sea is lulled to sleep at its feet. I hear you say,
"How unlucky that this should happen to me."
But not at all.
Perhaps say instead how lucky I am that I am not broken by what has happened,
and I am not afraid of what is about to happen.
