I use Mozilla, Netscape and i don't find myself facing the sort of difficulties that you're facing Matt. Are you still using the beta version of Mozilla?

I'm pretty sure it's not BETA version.

The difference between "guided" and "enhanced" isn't all that big.
If you have some text selected, both modes work exactly the same... by enclosing the selected text in the code you choose.

If no text is selected then:
  1. in the "guided" mode a popup window will appear in which you can type your text; when you close the window - by pressing [Enter] or choosing [OK] - the text will be enclosed in the chosen code (be it a color code, or Bold or whatever.)
    .
  2. in the "enhanced" mode, the opening code will be printed directly in your edit box. It will close when you choose the same code again.

What YAGIM was referring to - the WYSIWYG - is something else altogether. See next post .

To have a WYSIWYG edit box:
  1. go to your User Control Panel and click on Edit Options (<-- or click on the link here)
    .
  2. scroll down-down-down to the last frame, "Miscellaneous Options". (Make sure the little arrow at the right is pointing UP, otherwise the frame is closed. If it's pointing down, click on it to let the frame drop open.)
    .
  3. the "Message Editor interface" gives you a choice between
    .
    • Basic Editor - A simple text box
    • Standard Editor - Extra formatting controls
    • Enhanced Interface - Full WYSIWYG Editing
    .
Change it to what you wish it to be, and Save Changes...

I suppose that's what you were looking for?
