mrush2004,

as far as i know, there is no television coverage of the WTA Tour Championships here in Canada. The last time we had coverage was in the first year that it moved to Los Angeles on CTV Sportsnet. At that time (I believe 2002?), we used to get the Linz, Zürich, Filderstadt, and Moscow events as well (Semis & Finals), but when WTSN came about, CTV Sportsnet dropped the WTA Events and with the demise of WTSN, no one has ever picked the events back up.

I think we should petition that TSN starts to televise the WTA events. Other than the Masters Series and Grand Slams, we really don't get much else in terms of tennis. This would obvioulsy fill the void left by the NHL lockout, and TSN losing their Championship Curling coverage to CBC. The programming has been real crappy on their station televising poker, polo, and the occasional table tennis match, that the WTA would help.

However, do watch the Bell Challenge on either RDS who will have the Semis and Finals, or if you don't have RDS, TSN will cover the final in english at a future date.
Check www.tsn.ca/tennis for the schedule.

Hi Marsha - Go to the WTATour website, click on Tournaments, then TV Schedule. You'll find a link with all the listings for this event on ESPN.

RDS is showing the Bell challenge but only the final, and 1 week after the tournament, it's so stupid!!!!

I remember that the year that it was at MSG in New York, we fot some coverage here, it was on cable TV on the Fox network. I think it was like in 2000 or 2001 cause there was a ceremony for the retirement of Steffi Graf. Those were the days!!!

There is nothing, because the tourney starts on thursday here in europe (very early), wednesday evening in the US. It fits, Eurosport shows every single match and also taped matches as a plus during the day.

Different schedule?

Question Live in Europe

So, in all the Europe we can watch at the EUROSPORT and i am pleased about it. Because I want to see all the tournaments and I would be annoyed if I can't. But I sorry about Dabiela because she (in this year) wasn't enough good to play in the world championship. So I vote Amelie Mauresmo and Maria Sharapova. And you?
