Jennifer didn't win....

How many calls did the chair umprie screw Serena on, Serena was so screwed, she so didn't lose that match. Venus lost fair and square to Davenprot, but Serena got cheated agaisnt Capriati, if I was Capriati I'd admist that the chair umpire screwed Serena, but you know that Crappy has no humbleness and won't admit it.

NO player would rule in favor of the opponent given the fact the players always receive bad calls all the time.

A bad call is one thing. Out and out cheating is something else again.

Umpire didn't screw Serena Williams - Serena Williams screwed Serena Williams.

Especially not Serena, IMO. It may not have been the most stylish of wins, but it counts.

Bla bla bla, and now everyone will start justifying why serena lost. People, this kind of matches are really close, either can win. Jennifer's job is not to look at the lines and call in or out. She is there to play tennis. She won because she fought, because she introduced that slice that made serena go crazy and put every ball back and ran all over the court. Serena ahs to understand that with power and no angles and just trying to hit the lines all the time, she will not beat capriati. Jennifer is much more consistent in that sense, and that is what happened. I think this was a good lesson for serena. The umpire must be fired, but people, watch the match again and dont look at that as the reason of serena losing yesterday

I just kinda sad that serena lose, but i must give a credit to jenny, she fought and fought and fought so hard. There's nothing to do with the result but umpire really suck. I agree this lady must be fired.

No it's not, but if she actually saw the ball in and conveniently kept her quiet and take the point she didn't deserve, wel...

And from I saw on tv (could be wrong), it's hard to believe she didn't see the ball. She was looking at it helplessly, and I think she looked like she thought it was in too (again, could be wrong).

I wasn't actually rooting for either player since both players aren't my faves, but it sucked to see Serena having to play against not just Jen, but also the linesmen and the umpire.

I never thought I'd say thank goodness for the humility, consistency and enlightened sportsmanship of allen iverson in comparison with these goofy tennis girls (that includes serena for whining about how she wasn't blaming anything on the calls, but that the calls did have an impact. sheesh!) But c'mon J. Cap., let's have a little grace & consistency--just a little.

OLDER INTERVIEW
Q. Concerned about some of the calls?

JENNIFER CAPRIATI: You know, even from watching other matches, they haven't been too good. I mean, I really think they should look into having the Hawk-Eye on the umpire's chair. I mean, I don't see why not. I mean, this level of the game, you know, when it's so close, and one or two shots can make a difference, I mean, I don't think it's fair.

INTERVIEW AFTER LAST NIGHT'S MATCH

''It was just one point, and I don't think it changed the match,'' Capriati said. ``It was close. Believe me, I've had things go against me plenty of times. I deserve to get a call once in a while. The reason I won is that I fought hard.''

Thumbs down Santa Claus Alves came to The US OPEN...

It is really sad to see how people knock each other on these boards.
This is America where "Everyone" is suppose to be entitled to their own opinion and by posting our opinions, we shouldnt have to worry about who likes or doesn't like what we have posted and who will retaliate by making insensitive comment like: Get over it! Move on, it's over etc? Obviously you have no clue what this means to Serena and what it would equally have meant to Jennifer had "4" Calls gone againts her.

Anyone in this world that views themselves as "Honest and Fair" Will agree that Jennifer did not win that match fair and square, weather they like Serena or not is irrespective, fair is fair.
Jennifer said that she didn't see what the big deal was when the crowd reacted to her comments, saying that she has had calls go against her many times in the past, this is very true, not only her but many players, male and female have had calls robbed from them but come on!!! 4???? In the same game? I don't think so! Had Serena gotten those 4 points, it would have been a different story. As it was, Serena lost that game unlike what Jennifer said, so Jennifer goes out bearing gifts from the umpire and yes we know that it is not Jennifer's fault that she was favored by the umpire!

The way Jennifer spoke after the match, makes one wonder if she wasn't indeed greatful for the bad calls and feels that they couldn't have come at a better time. Jennifer does not and perhaps will never admit it publicly, but remember that one cannot hide from one's self, there is no doubt that in her mind and for the rest of her life, she will always "KNOW" that her win came because an umpire made her win possible, she was given a "Gift" Why? That we will never know but we do know that she was given that Match, she didn't win it. Yes she fought brilliantly, no doubt about that, but we do know how these matches have a way of turning around, nerves, choking etc. Yet I hope you all know that the woman she was playing is also a fierce competitor, one who also possesses a fighting characteristic herself.

If I could be granted one wish, I would wish that John McEnroe could be assigned as The Umpire for such crucial matches where perhaps: Dislike or Racism is present, he is the "One" person that speaks out and does not try to make excuses and cut corners, He calls it as it is and truly, who wants a win such as that to be associated with?

Just for the record: I am not saying that this has anything to do with racism or the fact that the Williams Sisters are "NOT" the most popular players in the locker rooms of The TWA. After all, they are not running a popularity contest but how does it look? 1 Mistake ok, 2 Mistakes, hmmm, 3 Mistakes, grrrrrrrrrr 4???? Yes they should fire that woman to insure that she never has the chance to do this to any other tennis player.

"Santa Came Early To The US OPEN!!! Bearing gifts for guess who?
