Jana Kandarr was on the entry list (with an injury ranking of 179), but she's not in the draw. I guess her comeback only lasted one week.

She should be in the MD.........Groenfeld is the Qualie #1 seed and Tian Tian was ranked higher than her by a few spots.

Na Li never entered...

Go Ai, Venus, Na, Tamarine!

All seedings go by the latest rankings, not by rankings at commitments week. Commitments are for commitments, period.

Just Ting Li and Zi Yan...I'm almost positive that Tian Tian Sun got direct entry and is still playing. Jie Zheng is playing as well.

Anyone know how Rika Fujiwara got in if she was only ranked in the 250's for the cut off. Her current rank is 218...does that play into it?

Go Ai, Venus, Na, Tamarine!

No i think Tian Tian withdrew. Beltrame was higher on the next in list so she would have got in before Sun, but she is in the Q draw.
Like Hurley said , the seedings go by ranking this week, so ALG being #1 seed doesnt mean much.
Too bad, as Tian Tian had qualifying points to defend this week.
Why do Olympics have to be so close to the US Open?

keothavong withdrew due to leg injury
janes clearly couldn'ty be bothered to fly out for 1 event or else she would have signed in and made draw
