Re: Early Entries

32 singles player field, 22 players have committed. Don't remember, but isn't the qualie usually small, like 2 qualifiers or is it 4 qualies for the maindraw for this event? Nevertheless, hoping that Petra K. and J. Ostapenko commit with Sabine getting a MD WC. and V. Duval in qualies with Petra M.

4 Byes so it's a 28 player draw.
20 Direct Entry + 4WC + 4Q

Lisicki is playing Washington DC instead. Petra usually plays New Haven so it's normal that you won't see her entering Stanford. Playing 4 weeks in a row before USO is brutal.

Thank you for the info, respecting the draw.

Respecting Petra playing 4 consecutive weeks prior to the USO, she has done this before. She routinely played the now-defunct San Diego event, an event that occurred during the same week as Stanford, then the Rogers Cup, Cincy and New Haven. After SD folded, she then signed up to play Stanford a couple of years ago, but withdrew to attend the wedding of her former coach, David K., back home in the Czech Republic. So, it's not unusual for Petra to play 4 weeks, as she's done it in the past, including playing New Haven, an event Petra will never miss, save for injury.

Re: Early Entries

Somewhat weak, always used to be a great stop The two WCs are the biggest names by far in the draw.

The Wimbledon champion is here as well? Unless she withdrew or the list is wrong?

She didn't withdraw, and she's without a doubt a bigger draw than Guest is
