Those are the invited players. Martic and Vrljic are also on the list as reserves so we still don't know the final line-up.

But the four mentioned could sure do some major damage on an indoor court.

I would love to see Ana and Donna on the same team. I missed it the last time around...

In other words...

Belgium: Wickmayer, Mestach, Van Uytvanck, Bonaventure
Croatia: Lucic-Baroni, Vekic, Konjuh, Jurak
Israel: Peer, Glushko, Shlomo, Pushkarevsky
Latvia: Marcinkevica, Ostapenko, Emulina

I think we have a good shot at winning the group, maybe even earning a promotion.

Re: Fed Cup 2015

I was hoping we wouldn't get in the same group with Belgium, plus Israel has good team. Also, Flipkens still may play.
This is the strongest group IMO.

Group A is very weak. But good news is that if we win group we play them in SF for promotion.

Re: Fed Cup 2015

I think she will. For me the only chance is if we play with Mirjana, Ana and Mirjana/Ana or Mirjana/Darija.
On the other hand, I hope Mirjana doesn't need to play to much since week after she'll play Premier in Antwerpen.

Maybe it would be the best if Donna would pull out and give the spot to Petra who at least isn't useless in doubles.

You are right. Petra/Darija would be a solid doubles team.

Re: Fed Cup 2015

Bad news. Flipkens will play now !

And all Croatian girls with R1 exits at Aus Open

Belgium is the favourite in Group D now

Jelena: "If I had to pick someone after me, I'd pick Serena."

Re: Fed Cup 2015

Well, Flipper isn't really cruising through the draws these days either. Has only one singles win this year, from Auckland, and that one was in 3 sets over Larsson, so hardly impressive.

She does have a leading (1-0) h2h over both, Lucic and Vekic, while she never played Konjuh thus far. Still, if Ana starts playing something more like her good game in Budapest, I don't think Flipkens will have it easy with her at all. Also, if Mirjana gets fit soon enough I don't see why she wouldn't have a chance against her as well.
