Tereza couldn't manage a win against Siegemund after all.
She won the first set 6:3, and was actually serving for 5:3 in the second, but Siegemund played well in that game, Tereza stayed a bit reserved and the chance was gone. Later, she fought off two set points at 4:5, second set, and got the match into a tie break. There, she was 4:3 up with two serves of her own, but both times she served with practically no risk at all and got punished for it. Once she lost that tie break, it was pretty much all over, the German won the third 6:1.
Still, considering she was facing a top 100 player, there are positives to take away from this result as well. I think she is certain for Wimbledon qualies, but she'll probably have to get back up a little for the same to happen in NYC. Still, that's a long way to go. Usually she plays some of her worst tennis on grass, hopefully that changes a bit this year.
