Heat played a factor in the semis. Helen Gourlay had to be taken to the hospital for gastritis after her defeat. Eisel overcame a stubborn Karen Krantzcke. The last game lasted 20 points. Mary Ann won it with an ace and then a serve that Karen couldn't return.
