Re: Daria Kasatkina

Some part of her match were very good, like the 3 first games of the 2nd or the points she played from 6/1 to 6/4 in the TB but despite she's winning points and games when she's aggressive and commite for her shots, she's still came back at pushing and not commiting on her shots on the big points, that's service game at 5/3 was ridiculous.

It's very disapointing because I loved how she commited on some short balls with her backhand but at th end if you not brave enough to do it on the big points you will never compete for big titles .

The positive points of this week is that she's fit and she showed that when she commites on her shots and find depth on her shots she can do a lot of damages.

Next year will be very important for her she must improve that 2nd serve and her mindset on the big points.

Re: Daria Kasatkina

The way Dasha's year has been, making the quarters of a PM is huge and should give her some confidence going forward. It's just too bad it ended here especially since I thought Dashas game matches up very favorably against Woz.

Let's hope she can end the season with a good show of form in Moscow.

Re: Daria Kasatkina

At least the points she compiles now are there for most of 2020
She can use a good run in Moscow

Re: Daria Kasatkina

Looks like she'll drop out of 50 after KC. It's a shame cause she's playing much better now.

Re: Daria Kasatkina

A year to forget.
She's back to where she was before her breakthrough in 2016.
Whatever she did last year during pre season, I hope she won't do it again.
Dasha was horrible from the first to the last match of 2019.

Re: Daria Kasatkina

Saw bits of the match, some nice shots but overall it really wasn't good, there is hardly anybody else who plays as passively as she does. Statistics tells its own story, in the match she hit 22 UEs and a grand total of 5 winners . She may be taking the whole Russian Wall thing a bit too literally, i.e. something the ball just bounces off. You can't win with that kind of play, it's a waste of talent. Just to prove that Yastremska was quite beatable, she lost today to Flipkens, who is a very smart and experienced player but doesn't really have the talent Dasha has. After some good play in Beijing and playing in a home tournament that she did well in before I was hoping for something better.
This all does probably sound like a broken record, hopefully next season things will be better.

Re: Daria Kasatkina

I am not very optimistic about next year. She was a top player, now she's a journeywoman.

I’ve only just seen her social media where she put “bye bye season 2019... you’ve been shit”! Lmao love that I want daria to keep it real and be her friendly self but I’d love if she adopted the say what she likes and not give a shite attitude omg yes. Schnyder would be proud. Even the people who can’t stand her because of her game will begin to like her imo

She aready lost 3 years because she wasn't thinking about building a game and structure that allowed her to be a top player but points and rankings.

She needs to watch her match against Kerber at Wimbledon or Cornet at st petersburg, again and again and again because that's the road she needs to take.
